SEMPORNA: Five people are believed to have drowned, two are missing while 13 survived when a pump boat carrying 20 passengers capsized due to bad weather off Pulau Tandoan, Timbun Mata, Thursday night.
Semporna Maritime Zone Director Commander Norrimi Hassan said his team immediately activated “Ops Carilamat” to search for two more victims who have not been found, after receiving information on the incident at 10pm.
He said all the victims were Malaysians who boarded a pump boat heading to Kg Tandoan from Kg Bakung-Bakung.
