
KUALA LUMPUR – Selangor is back to a five-figure Covid-19 caseload, logging 10,735 infections as of midnight while the national tally stands at 18,560 – bringing the cumulative total to 4,201,919.
This is followed by Kuala Lumpur (1,188), Negri Sembilan (1,077), Johor (954), Penang (790), Perak (751), Sarawak (639), Kedah (607), Pahang (480), Melaka (338), Terengganu (325), Kelantan (271), Sabah (214), and Putrajaya (101).
Perlis (48) and Labuan (42) are the only two states with fewer than 100 cases.
According to data from the CovidNow website, Malaysia has an increase in reported deaths, logging 44 cases, of which eight are classified as brought-in-dead. The death toll now stands at 34,983.
Perak has 12 deaths, followed by Selangor (11), Johor (6), Sarawak (5), Penang (3), Kelantan, two each in Sabah and Terengganu, and one in Negri Sembilan.
The remaining states did not log any deaths.
Meanwhile, there were no new clusters recorded as of midnight.
For now, there are 206,854 active cases, of which 201,420 are under home quarantine, 4,521 hospitalised and 646 in low-risk treatment and quarantine centres.
