(Update at 3:18pm: The Maybank2u app and website, as well as debit card services have been restored. The FPX payment platform and MAE app are still being restored.)

Maybank has notified customers that several of its services are temporarily unavailable, including the FPX payment platform, debit card usage, and MAE by Maybank2u (MAE) app. It is also experiencing intermittent slowness on its Maybank2u app and website.

“Kindly be informed that our FPX (Financial Process Exchange) payment platform, debit card usage, and MAE app are temporarily unavailable, and we are currently experiencing intermittent slowness on M2U MY app and Maybank2u web,” the bank shared on its social media, with updates as of 1.25pm. It also apologised for any inconvenience caused, and said that it is working to resolve the matter as soon as possible.

Reports of slowness on Maybank’s platforms have been trickling in since morning, with some users stating that the Maybank2u website also went down earlier at around 9am. The bank has not shared any reasons as to why this is happening.
