Kota Kinabalu: The route along Jalan Tugu, from the Kg Air roundabout to the Hotel Horizon roundabout, will be temporarily closed on April 22 and 24 for the Anzac Day commemoration event, “Lest We Forget 2022”, which will be held at the WW1 Memorial in Jalan Tugu.

Mayor Datuk Noorliza Awang Alip, in a statement Thursday, said the temporary closure on Friday (April 22) from 6am to 11am is to allow for the event’s full rehearsal and on Sunday (April 24) from 6am to 11am for the actual event.

“The public and road users are advised to follow the directions of on-duty enforcement personnel and to be always cautious.

“They are also urged to use alternate routes during the road closure to ensure smooth traffic flow and safety,” she added.
