Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s cases remain stable with 51 cases on Tuesday, a marginal increase from 48 the day earlier, while no deaths or new clusters were recorded, said Sabah’s Covid-19 Spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.
“Kota Kinabalu recorded a lower figure, however it is still the only district that recorded double-digit figures,” he said.
He said 15 districts recorded single-digit cases, of which nine recorded only one to two cases.
“A total of 11 districts recorded a rise, while nine districts recorded a decrease. 11 districts did not record any new cases in the previous 24 hours. Overall, the situation remains stable with the daily rise-and-fall of cases occurring marginally and under control,” he added.
Of the caseload, 49.02 per cent were sporadic infections while 21.57 were close contacts. Masidi said the majority of infections were mild, with 49 out of 51 being category one and two infections.
“There was one case each in category four and five. There are no category three infections,” he added.
On Sabah’s immunisation programme, 4,927 took their vaccines on Apr 25, of which 629 were adults, 267 were teenagers and 3,401 were children.
