Manchester City midfielder Rodri says facing former club Atletico Madrid was special for him.
Rodri helped City to a 1-0 first-leg win in their Champions League quarterfinal last night.
He said, "It is the team that I feel in my heart, it has given me everything. It's weird, but when the game starts you forget about those things. Happy for the victory, it is the typical game that gets you tangled up and you are 0-0.
"It started with João and Griezmann jumping around a bit, but when João jumped onto the wing and they formed two lines of five... Very difficult. We controlled the game very well and scored a goal.
"I've been here three seasons, they've changed the system. Every time you play with a team like this you don't really know what you're going to find. In a counter they have put fear in our body."
