Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes is hoping to make his first start at St. James' Park against Wolves on Friday night.

The Brazilian, signed from Lyon in January, has only made three brief cameos at Toon's home ground.

When asked if he feels ready to start, Guimaraes told NUFC TV: "I'm feeling good, I'm happy for the games with my country. We played very well.

"It's a relief [about Brazil], I didn't start the last game but this week I've trained, so I'm so focused on the next game and hope to start for the first time at St James' Park.

"I've been waiting for this, I hope to have a big game and win with my team-mates."
