The Road Transport Department (JPJ) announced that the public can now channel their complaints regarding traffic violations by downloading the e-Aduan@JPJ app. Its Senior Director of Enforcement Datuk Lokman Jamaan said that the app allows for the public to upload photos and videos of traffic offences that took place in front of them.

Furthermore, the app will also automatically detect where and when the offence took place. As reported by national news agency Bernama, Lokman elaborated that the public need to get a public id from JPJ’s official website first in order to use the app.

The JPJ Senior Director of Enforcement further asserted,

“You also need to activate your global positioning system (GPS) to facilitate location tracking. Complaints made must be completed with time, place, video and photos to facilitate the investigation,”

However, there is still confusion as to when the app would be available or whether the app would be separate from JPJ’s current JPJ Info app. Some users are saying that the e-Aduan option is available on the JPJ Info app, though it is currently only available on the Android version of the app. Well, let’s hope that JPJ clarified the matter soon.

Meanwhile, in the same statement yesterday, Lokman also revealed that his department will be implementing Ops Hari Raya Aidilfitri (Ops HRA) 2022 from 29 April until 8 May. The Ops will be implemented using an advocacy and enforcement approach with the main objective of ensuring that roads are always safe and reduce the rate of accidents and fatalities.
