Manchester City U23 coach Brian Barry-Murphy says Pep Guardiola has had a big influence on their second successive PL2 title triumph.
A hard fought 3-1 victory at Leeds United on Friday in a game played in front of 21,000 fans at Elland Road, ensured City retained the title.
Barry-Murphy, who took up the role last summer in succession to Enzo Maresca, has overseen a superb campaign.
“It's fantastic to get this reward of the league title alongside the development and growth that the players have made," said the EDS head coach.
“But it's easy to forget our players are getting this unique opportunity to be trained by one of the best managers that has ever managed.
“And the amount of access they have to him, and his training sessions is beyond belief.
“It's very important not to take that for granted. We push the players to appreciate what they are experiencing. I don't think it's normal - there's not many clubs that I've seen that involved so many of our young players (at first team level).
“Because of the nature of our so squad so many of our young players get to be on the bench and involved in so many competitions."
