Kota Kinabalu: British High Commissioner to Malaysia Charles Hay takes great pride in the achievements of the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference, more commonly referred to as COP26 held in Glasgow, Scotland from Oct 31 to Nov 13, 2021.
According to Hay, when the UK took over the presidency of COP26, only 30 per cent of the world’s economy was covered by zero carbon, carbon neutral undertakings, and after COP26 concluded, it achieved up to 90 per cent.
