Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment is focused on ensuring that Sabah stays a popular tourist destination around the world, assisting local rural products in sustaining and surviving the pandemic, and luring back airlines to resume flights to Sabah.
Its Minister Datuk Jafry Ariffin said the Movement Control Order implemented on March 18, 2020, has resulted in the closure of Malaysia’s borders until March 31, 2022, restricting any incoming international tourists to the country, including into Sabah.
