Former Liverpool and Rangers fullback Jon Flanagan is happy to be back in action for HB Koge.

Flanagan signed for Koge at the start of the season, but was injured in August.

He was back for victory against Vendsyssel FF and said: "It was a great feeling to be back. It's been a long time since I last played, so it was something I had been looking forward to for a long time.

"It was great to be back on the field with the teammates, and it was a good victory, which we can hopefully build on."

Koge coach Dan Agger fielded Flanagan in the centre of a back three.

"I think it went well," he added. "I spoke to Daniel Agger during the week and he mentioned that he might want to use me centrally. I felt comfortable in there, and it went well too."
