PENAMPANG: Police have called on 12 banks here and in Putatan to consider again hiring security guards to enhance safety at premises throughout the upcoming festive holidays.
Penampang Police Chief Deputy Supt Mohd Haris Ibrahim said they did not want what happened in 2016 when thieves blasted bank Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) at a bank in Putatan to recur.
