[PHOTOS] The rush returns before Aidilfitri

KUALA LUMPUR – Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman was a hive of activity in the days before Hari Raya Aidilfitri, as families thronged the popular street to do some last-minute shopping to prepare for one of Malaysia’s biggest religious celebrations.

Business was booming almost like before the Covid-19 pandemic, as shoppers rushed to buy everything from cookies and songkok to new baju raya at the popular shopping area, with the main difference being that everyone was wearing a mask.

This will be the first Raya in two years since Covid-19 struck where families and friends can celebrate Aidilfitri without government-mandated social distancing and limits to gatherings.
