Besiktas will not seek a permanent deal for Barcelona midfielder Miralem Pjanic.

The Bosnian has just returned to action after being sidelined with an injury for two months. However, things have not gone as he hoped, with his last two appearances coming off the bench.

In comments to reporters, Besiktas sporting director Ceyhun Kazanci affirmed that "we will not continue with him next season."

Pjanic started OK in Turkey. He was an important player at first bit his performances have dipped and injury problems mean Besiktas will look elsewhere after the summer.

He has a contract with Barça until 2024, so will return to Camp Nou and the Catalan club will have to decide what to do with him.
