Kota Kinabalu: Prominent lawyer Sugumar Balakrisnan (pic), whose landmark case in the 1990s reiterated the unquestionable immigration powers of both the Sabah and Sarawak governments as per the Malaysia Agreement 1963, passed away at Queen Elizabeth Hospital 1 (QEH1) at 2pm, Thursday. He was 68.
According to his wife, Sugumar was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance on Wednesday afternoon.
