Leeds target Swift ruled out for remainder of season at Reading

The Reading future of John Swift has taken a new twist.

Swift may have played his last match for Reading after picking up an injury which manager Paul Ince expects to keep him out for the remainder of the season. Swift has frequently been rumoured to be a potential addition for Leeds United.

So far this season Swift has 11 goals and 13 assists in 38 games for Reading. His contract is due to expire this summer however and he has so far shown no sign of signing a new one.

The 26-year-old has played about 200 matches for Reading. Prior to that he played for Chelsea.
