Any bidders for Chelsea have been told by owner Roman Abramovich that they must meet one key condition.

The club are in the process of assessing bids from various consortiums at present.

According to Sky Sports, a condition of ownership is that bidders must not sell a controlling stake in the club for at least TEN years.

At present, there are three shortlisted bidders for the club, with Raine Group working on the process with Abramovich and his people.

Abramovich is attempting to find a balance between quickly selling the club, due to sanctions against him from the UK government, and ensuring the future of Chelsea is safe.

Fans of the club will be hoping a sale is complete before the summer transfer window.
