Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has played down Pep Guardiola's claims about his team.
Manchester City manager Guardiola has declared the Reds among the greatest teams ever seen.
Klopp said: “Thank you very much Pep.
“He knows I can give that back exactly like this (and say the same as him) they are one of the best… if not the best team in history. I don't know, I can't compare with 20-30 years but the football standard, with all I know about the football of today, they are really, really, really good and I don't know a better team to be honest.
“We are not too far away so that shows my boys are really good as well. But how good in history we will probably judge later in our lives…we will see what we think then."
Klopp's side look to keep their title challenge, and incredible run, alive this weekend in the derby against bitter rivals Everton.
"We love being in this situation, but we know there's nothing we have achieved so far, or not a lot," Klopp saiaddedd. "We won one competition, that's great, but there are three others to go. The boys are in a good moment but we have to prove it again on Sunday. We are looking forward to everything that's coming up."
