PETALING JAYA: The Health Ministry reported 16 Covid-19 deaths yesterday.
The death toll now stands at 35,437.
Four of the deaths were classified as brought-in-dead (BID) cases.
Selangor recorded five deaths, followed by Johor (3), Kedah, Penang and Terengganu (2 each) and Perak and Sarawak (1 each).
There were no deaths in the other states and federal territories.
Meanwhile, the ministry also reported 7,140 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the cumulative infections to 4,396,165.
