
PETALING JAYA: Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad today advised students against bullying.
The Langkawi MP said he was saddened by the recent bullying case that went viral on social media.
The incident, involved school students from a school in his constituency, in which a group of Form Four students were arrested in connection with the assault of their peer.
“I am sad to read about this bullying case in a school in Langkawi.
“Bullying brings about gangsterism. Now this matter has become a police case.
“I hope that all the students involved realise and take note that bullying is not something to be proud of,” he said in a statement today.
Yesterday Langkawi police said 13 students were detained for assaulting another student.
