KOTA BELUD: A group of nearly 50 Parti Warisan Sabah grassroots members in Kg Tambatuon left the party to join Barisan Nasional (BN) in a ceremony, here, Saturday.
The group, led by Kg Tambatuon Wira Warisan Chief Jimmy Pangalui (pic) submitted the membership forms to the head of Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS) Kadamaian Duanis Magirong division.
The former Village Community Management Council (MPKK) Chairman said they left Warisan because they have lost faith in the party’s leadership to defend the fate of the people, especially the villagers who are far behind in facilities, especially infrastructure facilities.
“I have fought since the beginning of the establishment of Warisan in this village and sacrificed a lot of time and money for the villagers and the Warisan party in the village.
“But I still do not see any good plans executed by Warisan leaders for the people. It is as if we are not cared for,” he explained.
He said they have decided to join BN through PBRS because they believe it was the only party capable of defending the fate of the people, especially in the Kadazan Dusun and Murut (KDM) communities.
“PBRS Deputy President Datuk Arthur Joseph Kurup is a young leader who is a visionary and has good relations with top government leaders.
“As part of the young generation, I am very supportive and I believe he can help especially the people in rural areas, especially to overcome Sabah’s rural infrastructure problems,” he said.
