At a glance, the art piece seems like a normal enough painting of the Dewan Rakyat but once you look into the details, you will see that the MPs were replaced with frogs and primates.

“An art piece has caught the attention of DYMM Sultan Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj.”

“After seeing it, His Majesty bought the piece of art and will be hanging it in His Majesty’s private study room.”

The post continues and says that His Majesty hopes to open bidding for this piece of art in the future where all the proceeds will go to charity.

“This painting is incomplete as there is an animal missing, the pig!”

A sharp-eyed netizen said that the artist probably took inspiration from UK’s Banksy.

Other netizens felt like putting it in His Majesty’s private study might be a bit of a waste.

“It will be more meaningful if this painting was hung in the main foyer of the parliament building to serve as a reminder for all MPs every time they go to the Dewan.”

While some were oblivious enough to not get the meaning behind it.

“Not sure what is the meaning behind a painting like this as I can say that both sides have good debates. Those arguments are mostly due to bad intentions/proposals and the speaker to be fair.”

A helpful netizen replied: “It means that there are a lot of primates in parliament. Simple.”
