Ajax veteran Daley Blind gave assurances to Manchester United over recruiting Erik ten Hag as their new manager, according to reports.
United announced last week that Ajax boss ten Hag will takeover as manager this summer.
The Red Devils are set to miss out on Champions League football this season following Saturday's 3-1 loss to Arsenal.
Reports have suggested the atmosphere in the United dressing room has turned toxic this season.
With the plethora of egos at Old Trafford, some inside the squad have questioned whether ten Hag has the experience to handle the power dynamics given his history with younger squads at Ajax.
However, the Manchester Evening News says former United defender Blind, who has stayed close with a number of people at the club, has sent assurances that ten Hag is able to be 'firm' with players when necessary and is capable of sorting out the fractured squad.
