
Kota Kinabalu: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor distributed contributions to 180 needy namely, orphans, converts and disabled as well as Imams of mosques and suraus during the 2021 Ramadan and Aidilfitri contribution handing over ceremony here.
The contributions were in the form of rice, Kurma, food basket and cash.
Also present were District Officer Syahrin Samir and District Council Executive Officer Jamilin Ladin.
Earlier, Hajiji also presented Ramadan contributions to recipients under Tuaran parliamentary seat, at his residence in Kg Serusup, Tuaran.
Among the recipients were orphans, special people (OKU), converts, mosques and suraus committee chairmen.
A total of 180 people received food baskets and ‘Duit Raya’ packets while 28 mosques and 25 suraus in Tuaran were given dates whereby each mosque is getting seven boxes of dates while each surau receives five boxes of dates to be distributed to the Muslims praying at the mosques and suraus.
