Kota Kinabalu: There are no active Covid-19 clusters left in Sabah with the last Jalan Tambalang Cluster in Tuaran declared closed by the State Health Department on Friday, said Sabah’s Covid-19 Spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.
He said Sabah recorded 21 fewer cases on Friday with 101 cases, a dip from 122 the day earlier, while one death was recorded in Kota Kinabalu.
Despite the downward trend, Masidi cautioned that sporadic infections still remained high at 58.4 per cent of the caseload.
“A total of 13 districts recorded a decrease in cases compared to seven that recorded an increase.
“Kinabatangan, Sipitang, Pitas, Kalabakan and Kudat did not record any new cases,” he said.
Masidi said Kota Kinabalu topped the list with 33 cases, followed by Penampang (14), Sandakan (10), Beaufort (7) and Putatan (5).
He said the majority of cases are mild, with 95 out of 101 cases being category one and two infections, while there were two cases each in category three, four and five.
On Sabah’s immunisation programme, some 4,375 individuals took their vaccines on Apr 14, of which 1,135 were adults, 282 were teenagers and 2,958 were children.
