Jaap Stam has confirmed he'd be open to 'any role' at Manchester United.
The former United defender has been linked with a return to the club recently, with compatriot Erik ten Hag considered the frontrunner to become the next manager at Old Trafford.
Robin van Persie, Steve McClaren and Rene Meulensteen have also been linked with an assistant role under ten Hag, and Stam has officially put his hand up to join the club in any capacity.
"In principle, I am open to any role at Manchester United," Stam told Voetbal Primeur. "I have enjoyed working and living there, and I owe a lot to the club.
"If I can help Manchester United in any way, I'm open to it, provided it's in a role that suits me."
