Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic insists a comeback against Real Madrid remains possible.
Chelsea must overturn a 3-1 deficit in Madrid to reach the Champions League semifinals.
Kovacic admits a crunch meeting before victory at Southampton on Saturday had the desired affect: "It's never easy to come back after a national break but it is not an excuse for how we came back. It is good to have a talk, it was a good meeting which is always important and it gave us a good lift."
Asked about comebacks he's been involved in, the Croatian added: "Many, I was included in one when we were 2-0 down and we came to the Bernabeu and won 3-0. Chelsea against Napoli, they lost 3-1 and then they came back.
"Football is always surprise and we need to be more than 100%."
