Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers suggests that veteran goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel will hold contract talks with the club in the summer.

The Danish shot stopper is one of the most experienced members of Rodgers' squad, and has won the Premier League with the Foxes during his decade-long spell at the club.

Schmeichel will captain Leicester as they take on PSV Eindhoven in the Europa Conference League quarter-final second leg on Thursday.

Speaking pre-game, Rodgers said about Schmeichel: "He's been a brilliant servant here and he's currently playing at a really high level.

"We will have a good chat (about his contract) and get an idea of what he's thinking."

Schemichel preferred to focus on the game ahead, adding: "These nights provide something different for players and fans.

"These are moments in history we are fighting every day to experience."
