MIRI – Police today said they have arrested a 24-year-old woman for allegedly killing her husband during a domestic spat.
Kota Samarahan police chief Sudirman Kram said the victim, 28, was stabbed with a vegetable knife during a quarrel with his wife at about 10.30pm at their housing unit in the Penrissen army camp in Samarahan district, in the outskirts of Kuching.
“He was confirmed to have died from excessive bleeding upon being rushed to the Sarawak General Hospital. We are investigating the case under Section 302 of the Penal Code,” he said in a statement, referring to the Penal Code provision for murder.
Sudirman said police have seized the alleged murder weapon and some personal belongings from the scene.
The suspect has been remanded to facilitate investigations. – The Vibes, April 5, 2022
