Entire extended families will coordinate their baju raya in a single colour while others do it according to a theme.
This little family in KL does it a little differently and their baju raya for the past few years has been themed around Hello Kitty!
A video of their baju raya for every single year since 2015 has gone viral on TikTok with more than 330,000 views and 17,000 likes.

The cutest thing is that her husband is also in on it as well!
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Yus Afina Zawizah, a businesswoman told us that her young daughter is a big fan of Hello Kitty and ever since 2015, most of the things at home, from the toys to the cars have been changed to either pink in colour or with a Hello Kitty on it.
When asked about the inspiration behind the matching baju raya, she said that it was very hard to find Hello Kitty clothing so she decided to get them custom made according to her daughter’s wishes.
Some netizens have noted that Yus Afina’s husband is very sporting for wearing the Hello Kitty clothes. Regarding that, the businesswoman told us,
“My husband will support whatever interest that my children and I have. Even though he is a police officer, he is not shy to wear a Hello Kitty baju melayu for our children and me.”
He is definitely a very sweet husband and father!
In the recent years, the family has added other characters such as Captain America and Ben 10 into their themed clothing as they have a new child.
