Lukaku continues to look for an escape route out of Stamford Bridge, and has requested a meeting with Inter Milan to discuss his future.
Journalist Fabrizio Biasin reports that striker has engineered an appointment between one of his representatives and his former club, due to take place in the coming days.
However, any possible return to the San Siro is currently described as 'complicated'.
The 29-year-old Belgian moved to Chelsea last summer for a club record £97.5m, but Inter are not prepared to pay anything like that to resign him.
