Manchester City CEO Ferran Soriano has spoken about the club's stance on manager Pep Guardiola.

The Spaniard has a year remaining on his contract with the Sky Blues.

However, City are determined to renew Guardiola, after he guided the team to their fourth Premier League title in five seasons.

"The desire is for Guardiola to stay at City forever, why not? It is possible," he told Catalan radio RAC 1.

The only trophy missing from Guardiola's time at City is the Champions League.

However, they have reinforced the squad with Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund, and are likely to make more signings to take the club to the top of the European game.
