Arsenal legend Tony Adams insists their 1990-91 title-winning squad were better than the Invincibles of 2004.
Adams, who retired two seasons before the Invincibles campaign, reckons that George Graham's all-conquering side of 1990-91 deserves to go down as the best Arsenal squad of all time - and for good reason.
"We lost one game and I was in prison," he told The Times. "I say to people, 'I was invincible in 91'. That squad was incredible."
Under the stewardship of Graham, and with the likes of Adams, Steve Bould, Lee Dixon and Michael Thomas in the side, Arsenal lost just a single game as they won the top division title.
But even more remarkable than the fact they only lost one game was their defensive record. A notoriously defensive coach, Graham masterminded a campaign which saw the Gunners concede just 18 goals - 22 less than runners-up Liverpool.
