The best and most memorable Hari Raya moments can differ from one Raya loving Muslim to another. For some, it can be churning out the most delicious “dodol” in the world to visiting your centurion old “nenek” aka grandmother who is stuck alone in the kampung for more than two years due to Covid-19 restrictions. But for this family of nine, there are in for a big surprise. As shown in the 1-minute long viral video, the entire clan were all dressed up to the nines in “ketupat” green matchy-matchy outfits while getting ready for their yearly Raya get-together photo shot. When the cameras clicked, one of the younger family members had a sudden sneezing fit which naturally interrupted the whole picture-taking process.
However, what makes this video so heartwarmingly endearing were due to these two reasons. First, the impact of the sneeze was so sudden and forceful that liquid snot instantly came out from the child’s nostrils, resulting in a snort spurting trail of hilarity for everyone. Second, while the other family members can be seen laughing their heads off in the background, however, the award for having the most cracked up laugh goes to the young girl’s equally hilarious father. His bemused and unfazed look says it all as if he has foreseen this coming right from the start. Amused netizens on the other hand quickly expressed their comments on the internet with some saying that the child’s yellow-tinged snort deeply resembles cendol to others even creatively associating it with the number 11. But one thing that stands in common, is this cute-little snort fiasco will be the joke of epic proportions for years to come that can top even the most outrageous Raya stories from your regular village Makcik Bawang.
