Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips is due a percentage of the transfer fee raised from his sale.
The Daily Mail says Phillips is set to pocket millions from the transfer if he is sold by Leeds United this summer. There is a clause in the England midfielder's contract triggered by relegation giving Phillips a percentage of any fee Leeds receive for him above his release clause of about £25million.
That figure will be exceeded given that Manchester United, Newcastle and Aston Villa all want to sign him. Phillips, 26, has two years left on his contract at Elland Road and has told Leeds he would like to sign a new deal to stay at his hometown club, although that could change if they are relegated.
The situation is complicated by the fact that Phillips is expected to change agents when his representation contract expires next month, with all the UK's top agencies having pitched for his services.
