When two Spidermen came to the rescue of an elderly lady to cross a busy road our hearts go out to them.
It warms your heart to see two young men who made the effort to help an old lady with a dowager’s hump trying to push her bicycle across what looks like a road with many cars travelling at high speed.
These two guys in Spidermen costumes successfully guided the old lady safely across the road signalling furiously at oncoming traffic to slow down.
A video of the incident appeared on Instagram mounted by Malaysiaigers with the caption “Pakaian Hero…Jiwa pun hero!” ( A Hero’s outfit…The Heart must be that of a hero too!).
It received overwhelming support from 11,150 viewers.
We have captured four frames from the video and mounted them here to illustrate the attitude of the two caring young Malaysians towards an old lady who might have been involved in the accident if she was to cross that busy road on her own.
We do not know where this incident took place except from one of the commentators named Jack96 who guessed it could have been at Jalan Bandar Pasir Putih. Was it Pasir Putih Kelantan? We are not sure.
However, we also wonder, are the Spidermen there to help her every day? Or was this just a coincidence, a photo opportunity or a publicity stunt? We do not know that either.
But it did help raise awareness that old folks do need the help of young people to cross busy roads nowadays.
So, if there were no Spidermen to help on a daily basis, we do hope others in the neighbourhood would extend their helping hands with equal enthusiasm to the old lady in question, on her next crossing, sometimes, shortly.
Be a good samaritan. Help wherever, whenever you can.
