LABUAN: The inaction by Federal Communications and Multimedia Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa to pleas for Sabah to have its own emergency call centre instead of the calls being directed first to peninsula and which has been blamed on four deaths so far reflects the arrogance of some Umno leaders towards Sabah.
Activist Datuk Patrick Sindu said this attitude smacks of arrogance as it shows Federal leaders, particularly from Umno, do not care about Sabah and hoped Sabahan and Labuan voters would teach the peninsula-based party a lesson in the coming elections.
He said it was common knowledge that quick response to emergencies is important in a matter of life or death and not to be taken lightly such as passing the call around before relaying it back to Sabah.
