Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel confirmed Kai Havertz missed the FA Cup final loss to Liverpool after failing to recover in time from a hamstring injury.
The Blues went down 6-5 on penalties after the match finished goalless.
Tuchel also confirmed that Timo Werner picked up an injury in the warm-up.
"Kai, we did a last test he did not train yesterday because of hamstring problems," Tuchel told reporters at a post-match press conference.
"We tried everything and had a test this morning and it was not better. Timo was uncomfortable in the warm-up and said he could not play."
