Crystal Palace co-owner David Blitzer is moving for Saint-Etienne.

After being part of Sir Martin Broughton's attempt to buy Chelsea, Blitzer is now launching a bid for ASSE, says the Independent.

The American has made his offer and is now waiting on a response.

ASSE owners Roland Romeyer and Bernard Caïazzo have had the club up for sale this season, though no offers have tempted them to the negotiating table.

For the moment, ASSE's board are considring Blitzer's proposal.
