Sevilla defender Jules Kounde is ready to join Chelsea.
Chelsea's approved takeover this morning is a major transfer boost in their longtime bid to sign Sevilla star Kounde.
The Blues are in dire need of defensive reinforcement after losing Antonio Rudiger to Real Madrid.
Marcos Alonso, Andreas Christensen and skipper Cesar Azpilicueta are on their way to Barcelona, while Thiago Silva is at the advanced age of 37.
Transfer expert Andreas Korssund tweeted: “Jules Kounde is closing in on a move to Chelsea.
“The Blues will conclude talks with Sevilla as soon as Boehly's takeover is complete and they are ready to pay the required fee.
“Personal terms have already been agreed and the Frenchman is only waiting for Chelsea."
