Kota Kinabalu: There is a need for the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAFI) to formulate a comprehensive solution to address the supply and pricing of food in the market.
Such comprehensive solution is necessary because consumers are financially struggling due to the economic downturn and inflation.
The proposed comprehensive solution among others the government must consider include: freezing the export of chicken, abolishing Approved Permit (AP) for chicken, simplify subsidy application process for poultry products, ensure win-win approach for both poultry importers and breeders to stabilise the prices and production of chicken and to overcome the inflation crisis.
