SHAH ALAM, May 6 — The Gombak branch of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) has issued a compound against a trader for failing to put price tags on display.

KPDNHEP Selangor informed that the offence was detected during its Ops Pantau and 2022 Hari Raya Puasa Festive Season Maximum Price Scheme (SHMMP) inspection at Pasar Awam Fama Selayang Baru, yesterday.

“The trader failed to put price tags on the goods being sold and we have taken action under the Price Control and Anti-Profiteering Act (AKHAP) 2011,” said the agency in a statement on Facebook yesterday.

KPDNHEP Selangor reminded traders to abide by the law and not take the opportunity to increase the price of goods during the festive season.

“Strict action will be taken against any trader who fails to comply with the law,” said the agency.
