Newcastle United are launching a bid for Bayer Leverkusen star Moussa Diaby.
The Telegraph says Newcastle have asked Bayer to name their price for the France international.
Diaby has a deal to 2025, with Bayer chief Rudi Voller insisting he will only leave for an "exceptional offer".
"There is no reason to give up one of our top players," said Voller.
For his part, Diaby is open to moving to England this summer.
