Barcelona coach Xavi insists there's no reason to veer from the club's traditional playing style.
Xavi insisted that this particular style of play has led the club to success and recognition on numerous occasions in the past.
"It is a message from Barcelona's history, it would take us years to win [by playing] a different way," Xavi told the press conference prior the Real Betis duel.
"Playing with this model, [Barcelona] have won five Champions League [trophies] and world recognition for the Barcelona of [Lionel] Messi and [Pep] Guardiola that amazed the world and is recognised as the best team in the world.
"They remember how [that Barcelona] played. How winning is crucial. I have no doubts. This is the way. History says so. At Barcelona it is like that. The player enjoys being the central character and attacking. You have to compete and the Barcelona fan feels prouder."
