Inter Milan are ready to hand coach Simone Inzaghi a new contract.

Inzaghi led Inter to a runners up place in Serie A and the Coppa Italia in his first season in charge.

Local journalist Niccolo Ceccarini reports: “Inzaghi has been fundamental to creating this new Inter. Now, they go again with the certainty that the coach's contract renewal will soon be formalized until 2024, with an option for a further season. This is the starting point.

“Then there's the matter of the transfer market. The Nerazzurri will have to work within a budget this season and finish with a net profit of €60 million.

“It's clear that at the moment the players with the highest market value are these four: (Alessandro) Bastoni, (Milan) Skriniar, (Nicolo) Barella and Lautaro (Martinez).

“Inter would like to keep them all but it's clear that in the face of a huge offer they would sit down at the table."
