Spezia coach Thiago Motta is full of pride keeping the club in Serie A this season.
He said, "On the field we saw two teams that had an extraordinary season, I want to congratulate (Luciano) Spalletti for the fantastic job he did this year. Above all, though, my compliments go to my boys for the incredible season they had together. Even today they have shown that they can compete with great teams like Napoli, they have improved training after training and have managed to deservedly reach our goal, with hard work and team spirit.
"In my career as a player I had so many satisfactions, and when I started coaching I did it with great humility, trying to improve day by day, working hard, and this year I will carry it with me forever, both the good moments and the slightly darker ones because it is from those that you learn the most.
"I have to thank our fans, the emotions they gave us from start to finish are incredible. I know what it means to be a fan, I know what it feels like and I know the tension of a soccer game. Having them on our side was a huge contribution, especially in the difficult moments when we needed them most they were fantastic, they were with us and in the end, we made it together.
