Former Atletico Madrid star Milinko Pantic has rejected criticism of Luis Suarez.
This season, Suarez has scored 13 goals, his worst record in the last ten campaigns.
"There have been Atlético players who haven't had their season but doubting Luis Suárez is impossible because he is one of the best strikers in the world," said Pantic.
The Serb also said: "Atlético is experiencing a strange season. Luck has been lacking, I think we have failed a lot at home against teams from the lower zone and that has penalised us.
"The team has to get up and secure the Champions League because it is fundamental."
