RANAU: The true meaning of Harvest Festival or Kaamatan celebration this year will be felt, especially since there was no physical celebration the past two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister, Datuk Abidin Madingkir said Kaamatan is celebrated by the KDMR community to express their gratitude for the rice harvest and to commemorate the sacrifices of “Huminodun”.

“This year, various activities can be held for Kaamatan as well as other celebrations. This time we are able to celebrate them physically. However, we must continue to adhere with the SOPs set by the Health Ministry,” he said.
