Two crashes cause jams on Pagoh-Yong Peng, Tapah-Gopeng PLUS routes

KUALA LUMPUR – Motorists on the Pagoh-Yong Peng and Tapah-Gopeng stretches along the North-South Expressway (PLUS) are seeing traffic congestion for several kilometres following two accidents this morning.

PLUS at KM115.9 saw an accident involving a car and a lorry between Pagoh and Yong Peng, resulting in a 3.3km crawl.

Meanwhile, the Malaysian Highway Authority reported that there was another accident along the Tapah-Gopeng route at KM308.5, causing the left lane to be closed.

At 10.22am, PLUS reported an accident at KM162.3 between Jawi, Penang and Bandar Cassia. While no lanes are closed, traffic is slow heading north.

It added that traffic is heavy as vehicles are entering the Johor Baru checkpoint from Singapore.

However, other highways, including those in the Klang Valley are seeing smooth traffic today, reported Bernama. – The Vibes, May 5, 2022
